The Region of Charles Sturt is a local government area (LGA) located in the western suburbs of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. It was established in 1997 through the amalgamation of the former City of Hindmarsh Woodville and the City of Henley & Grange.

The region covers a total area of 53.5 square kilometers and has a population of over 114,000 people. It includes the suburbs of Beverley, Findon, Flinders Park, Fulham, Grange, Hendon, Henley Beach, Kidman Park, Pennington, Royal Park, Seaton, Semaphore Park, Tennyson, Welland, West Beach, West Croydon, and Woodville.

The region is named after Captain Charles Sturt, a British explorer who led expeditions into the interior of Australia in the 19th century. The region's coat of arms features a ship symbolizing Sturt's voyages and a pelican representing the local wetlands and wildlife.

The region is known for its coastal areas, parks, reserves, and sporting facilities. It is home to the West Lakes, a large artificial lake and residential area built in the 1970s. It also includes the Adelaide Shores, a popular destination for outdoor recreation, camping, and events.

The economy of the region is diverse, with a mix of retail, commercial, industrial, and service sectors. Major employers include Coles, Woolworths, Bunnings, and Costco. The region is also home to the Royal Adelaide Golf Club, Adelaide Airport, and several schools and educational institutions.

The region is governed by the Charles Sturt Council, which is responsible for providing a range of services and facilities to the local community. These include waste management, recycling, road maintenance, parks and playgrounds, libraries, community centers, and cultural events.
